At MIDSA ODONTOLOGIA we divide the porcelain veneers procedure into four different appointments.
At your first appointment, we will take photographs, discuss your goals and dental hygiene, and decide on a treatment plan that best suits you and your needs. We will also take a digital record of your teeth to make the design and our dental ceramist will make a personalised planning.
Your second appointment will be two weeks after your initial consultation. We fabricate custom temporary veneers to test aesthetics and function this appointment, we will transfer the study of your smile to your mouth.
The patient together with the aesthetic dentistry team will have the opportunity to see the simulation of what the finished case will look like. This way, together we can decide on the details and adjust the objectives to be achieved with the technician.
We will cut the surface structure of the tooth as planned to leave space for the future veneer and we will take digital records and photographs that will be sent to the dental laboratory. At the end of the session we will place temporary veneers that can be carefully used while the final veneers are being fabricated.
Approximately one week later, we will try on your new porcelain veneers and fit them in your mouth to make sure they are not uncomfortable. They will then be cemented in place with a thin layer of adhesive cement. We will examine their function and evaluate their aesthetics.
During this follow-up appointment, we will make sure that everything fits comfortably and make any minor adjustments that may be necessary.
Final photos will be taken so you can see your before and after, and show off your new smile!
