Complete rehabilitation with implants

When all teeth are missing or the patient's remaining teeth cannot be restored, implants can be placed to restore the patient's smile. In addition, he or she will be able to chew and speak as he or she had not done for many years. In short, he or she will regain self-confidence, and in this way we will not only rehabilitate him or her on an oral level, but also on a psychological level.

Frequently asked questions about implant rehabilitation

Removable prostheses or overdentures: 2 or better 4 upper or 4 lower implants are placed to make a complete prosthesis which can be removed after each meal to clean the implants and the prosthesis.

Hybrid fixed prostheses: Between 6 and 8 implants are placed to make a computer-milled framework and resin teeth.

Ceramic fixed prostheses: Between 6 and 8 implants are placed to make a ceramic prosthesis for all the upper or lower teeth. It is the closest thing to restoring natural teeth, as the prosthesis is fixed and can only be removed in the surgery, and the aesthetics are maximum.

Patients with implants should visit Dr Micó at least once a year for a professional hygiene check-up. During the visit, the prosthesis will be disassembled in order to have ideal access to the implants and thus be able to perform the ideal maintenance in each case.

If a fixed prosthesis is to be made, it is not only a very good option, but it is also recommended, as the patient recovers all their aesthetic, masticatory and phonatory functions from the first day, without the discomfort of wearing a full prosthesis "of a lifetime" while the implants heal.

How long does a car last? How long does a washing machine last?

A patient with good general health, proper daily hygiene and scheduled check-ups and maintenance will be able to maintain his or her implant-supported rehabilitation for many years, if not a lifetime.
