Dental implants Valencia

At Clínica Midsa we are specialists in the placement of implants in Valencia. Dr. Jose María Mico Llorens, specialist in implantology and aesthetic rehabilitation, is able to give our patients back their smile.

Immediate dental implants

Immediate implants are placed and a provisional fixed prosthesis is made on the same day, so the patient recovers their aesthetics and smile in less than 24 hours. This is a great aesthetic advantage and shortens the number of visits to the surgery.

The steps to carry out this technique are: a correct diagnosis (clinically and radiographically), planning the case by means of computer-guided surgery and finally, arranging to meet for the surgery one day in the morning and in the afternoon the provisional fixed teeth would be placed.

The patient will continue with the provisional fixed prosthesis for 3 months, after which we start to make the final prosthesis, which will fit perfectly to the gum, after it has healed during the last 3 months.

Rehabilitations on implants

In cases where the patient is edentulous in the upper or lower jaw, or both, we can place several implants to create a fixed prosthesis that replaces all the teeth in one jaw. This technique can be combined with immediate loading to restore masticatory, aesthetic and phonetic functions in less than 24 hours.

Other questions our patients ask about dental implants

Dental implants are titanium fixtures that are surgically placed in the bone to replace the roots of missing teeth. Once integrated into the bone, they act as a base to support crowns, bridges or full dentures, providing a durable and stable solution for aesthetic and functional rehabilitation.

Dental implants are suitable for most people who have good general and oral health. Ideal candidates should have healthy gums and enough jawbone to support the implant. It is important to have no diseases that could interfere with bone healing.

The process of placing a dental implant is carried out in several stages. First, the implant is inserted into the bone of the bridge. Then, a healing period of several months is allowed for the implant to integrate with the bone (osseointegration). Next, an abutment is placed on the implant, and finally, a dental crown is attached to the abutment to complete the restoration.

With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. It is crucial to maintain good oral hygiene, attend regular dental check-ups and avoid harmful habits such as smoking. Implants are a long-term solution to tooth loss, but their longevity depends on ongoing care and maintenance.

Most patients experience minimal discomfort after the implant placement procedure. Local anaesthesia is used to numb the area during surgery, and any post-operative discomfort can be managed with painkillers prescribed by Dr. Micó.

The price of dental implants varies according to the complexity of the case and the number of implants needed and the surgical technique required.
