The first visit to the pediatric dentist should take place even before the first baby tooth erupts. It's a very quick and easy oral examination to detect any abnormalities in the first teeth, tongue, or frenulum (which can prevent proper breastfeeding and therefore requires a frenectomy in these cases).
In addition, we teach parents how to brush their child's teeth and explain which toothbrush and toothpaste to use. We also inform you about pacifier and bottle use, thumb sucking, and cariogenic foods, thus helping to prevent cavities in the future.
We will also check if your child breathes through their nose and if they keep their mouth closed at rest; also if they bite backwards on the sides or anteriorly and if the upper teeth cover the lower teeth; how they pronounce the s, zy, and r; if they sleep well, if they snore, if they grind their teeth a lot, etc.
Addressing this issue early will ensure that your face develops harmoniously and prevent complex problems that will be difficult to solve in the future.
Taking our children to the pediatric dentist from an early age will save us a lot of trouble, time and money, and they will be healthy and happy.
