The removable orthodontic appliance, when placed in the mouth, balances the stomatognathic system and the entire neuromuscular system, in addition to maintaining the temporomandibular joints (TMJ) in proper position without compressing the auriculotemporal nerve (a branch of the trigeminal nerve). By stabilizing the TMJ, the neuromuscular system, along with breathing exercises involving lip closure, provides adequate oxygenation to the limbic system, locus coeruleus, and basal ganglia, gradually reducing the patient's pain. The patient will be discharged after six months.
RFA is effective in treating chronic pain, primarily musculoskeletal pain. If the patient follows the instructions, the technique has a relaxing and anti-inflammatory effect, improves sleep quality, and alleviates anxiety and depression. Furthermore, it is non-invasive and requires no medication.
In upcoming posts we will provide testimonials and case studies from patients who have used the technique.
If you suffer from chronic pain, fibromyalgia, anxiety, sleep problems… come to MIDSA Dentistry, we can help you.
