But have you ever considered how these dangerous diets can affect your dental health?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we&#039;ll list some of the problems it can bring us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An excessive restriction of fats, which are essential for the functioning of the body as they contain vitamin D, which is essential for the absorption of calcium.<\/li><li> Excessive consumption of fruit, rich in sugar and acid, affects tooth enamel by eroding the protective layer of the teeth, the dentin, and makes it vulnerable to cavities and infections.<\/li><li>Altering the composition of saliva, partly due to a deficiency of vitamin A, which reduces its antibacterial properties.<\/li><li>Affecting bone health (jawbone) and ligament health (periodontal ligament), due to a lack of vitamins and minerals.<\/li><li>Mucosal lesions, such as canker sores and mouth ulcers, due to a lack of vitamin B2.<\/li><li>Altered sense of taste due to vitamin B12 deficiency.<\/li><li>Reduced ability to repair injuries and increased risk of infections due to lack of vitamin C.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, it&#039;s not worth risking our health; it&#039;s better to prevent problems and maintain a proper, balanced diet.
