We often hear the expression "the dentist is expensive", but... is it really so?.

If we were to reflect briefly on the fact that if we did not maintain the car, the house, etc., these assets would end up unusable and therefore the expense would be greater than if we had carried out proper maintenance.

In my opinion, our mouth and our dental health are equally, if not more, important. Treatment costs would be much lower if everyone had regular checkups instead of delaying dental visits because they perceive them as expensive. This only leads to more serious and therefore more costly oral health problems.

Sometimes we think we can postpone dental problems because they're considered a whim or something purely cosmetic, but we're very wrong because our dental health has been shown to be related to our overall health. Recent research links poor oral hygiene to strokes, heart attacks, cardiovascular risk, poor athletic performance, and even diabetes.
